Lambert Bridge Winery, located in the picturesque Dry Creek Valley in northern Sonoma County and producer of artisanal world-class, Bordeaux-styled wines, announced that Jennifer Higgins, former winemaker at Lancaster Estate, has joined Lambert Bridge as associate winemaker. As part of the collaborative team under Jill Davis’ leadership, Jennifer brings a wealth of expertise with small lot Bordeaux varietals.
“The opportunity to bring my experience to Lambert Bridge and to the incredible winemaking program Jill Davis has built is a dream come true,” said Jennifer Higgins. “Lambert Bridge also offers me the opportunity to work with a much broader range of grape varietals. What’s more, Jill has been a mentor and a friend for years and it’s wonderful to come full circle in the cellar and vineyards once again.”
“In the past five years we have built a world class winemaking program focused on creating classic wines in the old world style,” said Jill Davis, winemaker at Lambert Bridge. “We are uncompromising in our pursuit of excellence. This is the job and the winery I’ve worked 30 years to find, and what a thrill it is to bring a winemaker of Jennifer’s caliber on board to be a part of this wonderful journey.”
Lambert Bridge has become known for its unique dedication to winemaking with the ultimate goal of creating distinctive and highly sought after Bordeaux-styled wines. Severely limiting vineyard yields to achieve concentrated flavors, promoting purity of fruit through berry by berry sorting, and using one hundred percent French oak in the cellar are only a few elements contributing to their constant pursuit of quality. As a new world winery with an old world approach, Lambert Bridge wines offer beautiful balance, elegant tannin structure, and a refinement that promotes the enjoyment of their wines with great food.
