One of the rarest of the Bordeaux varietals, our estate grown Malbec is early to flower and early to ripen, which helps explain why Gus has to work extra hard as harvest approaches to keep the wild turkeys away from the fruit. A tinge of dark blue surrounds this intensely ruby colored wine and the rich aromas of black plum and black raspberry burst with each gentle rotation of the stem between your fingers. Supplying the perfect mid palate structure to many great Bordeaux wines, our 2009 Malbec fills your mouth from beginning to end and finishes with a hint of sweet toasty oak.
We highly recommend this wine with a roasted duck breast drizzled in a black cherry reduction. Yum!
